Mattresses
  • All Sunshine Mattresses should be protected by a Sunshine Protector or equivalent
  • All Sunshine Mattresses should be supported by a solid slat system and not installed on a solid platform or on the floor.
  • Do not allow mattress to get wet, this always means using a protector and not washing any of the components of the mattress. For spot cleaning, unzip the cover and treat using gentle soap and very little water.
  • Removable cover can be aired out seasonally, not in direct heat/sunlight.
  • Flip the inner cores every 6 months to extend the lifespan of your mattress
  • All Foundations include legs which can be stained to your preference.
  • If using the legs, it is recommended to use the provided felt pads to protect the surface under the legs.
  • If using without the legs, it is recommended to use a sturdy bed fram with a center support.
  • Do not stand or jump on the foundation
  • Do not allow the foundation to get wet, if needed, spot clean using mild soap and very little water.
Accessories:
  • Sunshine Toppers are not machine washable, if necessary, spot treat using gentle soap and very little water. Air dry. To freshen and eliminate odours, it is recommended to air out seasonally or sprinkle with baking soda. It is recommended to use the Sunshine Protector or equivalent. Wool Toppers should be flipped and rotated every month for evenly distributed compression.
  • Organic Cotton Protector can be machine washed in warm water by itself to keep from pilling. Machine dry on medium heat by itself. After drying, place on the mattress and pull from corners to loosen fit.
  • Wool Moisture Protector can be hand washed in tap cold water or machine wash in gentle cycle in tap cold water. Hang to dry (indoors). Do not put in dryer.
  • Waterproof Protector can be machine washed in warm water using gentle biodegradable detergent. Use non-chlorine bleach only. Tumble dry on low heat. Remove promptly. Do not iron.
  • Duvet is not washable, if necessary, spot treat using gentle soap and very little water. Air dry. It is recommended to use a duvet cover and to freshen twice a year by hanging outside in direct sunlight.
  • Wool Pillow includes a pillow protector which is to be washed in warm water by itself or with Sunshine Mattress Protector. Machine dry on medium heat. The wool core is not washable, to freshen and eliminate odours, it is recommended to air out seasonally or sprinkle with baking soda. To adjust the loft, unzip the inner casing and remove/add fill as needed. To fluff pillow fill, place the pillow in the dryer with dryer balls, set dryer on air or coolest setting.
  • Latex Pillow includes a pillow protector which is to be washed in warm water by itself or with Sunshine Mattress Protector. Machine dry on medium heat. The latex core can be washed in cold water, hang to dry only. Ensure that the zipper is safely locked in place by clipping it with a safety pin. To freshen and eliminate odours, lightly sprinkle with baking soda. To adjust the loft, unzip the inner casing and remove/add fill as needed.
  • Sheets and Duvet Cover can be machine washed in warm water on a gentle cycle. Use only non-chlorine bleach, if needed. Tumble dry on low heat and warm iron as needed.
